From time to time Treehouse picks an organization as our Artist of the Month.  This month we've chosen the Tamarack Foundation A separate entity from TAMARACK: The Best of West Virginia, the Tamarack Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fund important support programs for the artists, craftspeople, performers and specialty food producers of West Virginia. Donor support provides educational and training opportunities to help strengthen artisans in the development of their craft, opportunities to expand economic potential and assist artisans who face critical needs or are suffering hardships and career-threatening events beyond their control.
The Foundation has been a bold advocate for artists since its creation, and the remarkable work they've been able to do has had a measurably positive effect on West Virginia's economy across the state and in all fifty-five counties.
As the global economy has changed, so have the challenges that face charitable organizations.  State cutbacks have forced belts to be tightened and strategic vision to become more creative.  However the Tamarack Foundation has made a committment to forge ahead in delivering the kinds of programs our state desparately needs.
Whether you know it or not the Foundation has made a mark on your life, and it's time we all returned the favor.  Even as the people who are the life of that organization search out new sources of revenue they need our support to bridge the gap.  Visit their website, learn more about who they are and what they do, then make a donation.  Your contribution, no matter the amount, will help to keep the Tamarack Foundation making West Virginia a better place... for the Arts, and for everyone.
We've just received our first grant from the Beckley Area Foundation!  Many thanks to the BAF and all of you who support us!
Camp begins on Monday, July 12 at 9am!  We're excited about our 6th year, and we can't wait to start building and rehearsing our show.  If you'd like to see our final performance come to Tamarack on Sunday, July 25th at 2pm.  The show is free, just pick up a free ticket at the front desk before the show.  If you need more information call 1-88-TAMARACK or visit www.tamarackwv.com.

This camp would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors: TAMARACK: The Best of West Virginia, ACE Adventure Center, and the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
